With the basic skeleton of your Page complete, there’s an important step you’ll want to take before you send the Page out to the world … or even your co-workers. Remember how Facebook creates business Pages separate from personal profiles? One benefit of this is so multiple people from an organization can edit and post from the Page without sharing login credentials. But that also means you need to designate who has what levels of editing access. That’s where Page Roles comes in. Facebook Business Page - 15 optimization tips (2019)
There’s not one simple answer, unfortunately. Resizing precisely before you upload does give you finer control over any sharpening or compression, but only if Facebook isn’t going to recompress the file automatically. So that means keeping it under 99KB. A downside is that when Facebook next tinkers with their display and image sizes (which they will, at some point) your already-posted images might end up displaying oddly. It’s also not ideal as more and more displays shift to high resolution displays like Retina. Retargeting Facebook Ads & Facebook Pixel Tutorial | Remarketing Facebook Digital Marketing Course
Social media can be used not only as public relations and direct marketing tools but also as communication channels targeting very specific audiences with social media influencers and social media personalities and as effective customer engagement tools. Technologies predating social media, such as broadcast TV and newspapers can also provide advertisers with a fairly targeted audience, given that an ad placed during a sports game broadcast or in the sports section of a newspaper is likely to be read by sports fans. However, social media websites can target niche markets even more precisely. Using digital tools such as Google Adsense, advertisers can target their ads to very specific demographics, such as people who are interested in social entrepreneurship, political activism associated with a particular political party, or video gaming. Google Adsense does this by looking for keywords in social media user's online posts and comments. It would be hard for a TV station or paper-based newspaper to provide ads that are this targeted (though not impossible, as can be seen with "special issue" sections on niche issues, which newspapers can use to sell targeted ads).
That’s right in the wheelhouse of the Graphics Interchange Format (GIF). Why make a 5-minute video to tell your brand story when you can evoke the reaction you’re looking for in less 10 seconds? GIFs exist in the space between images and videos—they’re essentially very short videos which play on a loop, but which don’t require nearly the amount of time and resources to make. Here’s a great example of a GIF ad we created for our AdWords Performance Grader:
Before you go live, write a compelling title that will show up alongside your live video. Then use the two arrows in the upper right corner to determine if you want to change the camera view to the selfie view or vice versa. Lastly, decide if you’ll hold your phone vertically or rotate it sideways to landscape. As you'd do on your desktop, press the blue “Go Live” to start broadcasting.
This is tad bit off of topic.. but hoping you can help. We know now that we want a group… but it’s the privacy setting that’s confusing. FB has a table that tells you about the security, however the last entry reads “who can see stories about the group on FB (like in news feeds and search” For closed it says “anyone” and for secret is says “only members”. What are “stories about the group”. This statement is contradictory to the rest of the table. We want a group that people can find, but that no one but members can see the contents of, including photos posted, posts, etc. Are these considered “stories”? What’s so great about Facebook video ads? Well, for one, shoppers that view videos are 1.81X more likely to purchase than non-video viewers. For another, the set-up process is as simple as setting up an image ad. It’s the video creation itself that might dissuade advertisers from getting in the video ads game—yet even those advertisers might soon find themselves at a disadvantage. Views of branded video content on Facebook increased 258% as of June 2017, and over 500 million people watch video on Facebook every day. Post timing: Also related to the ingredients of your content is when and how you post it. Be sure you're tracking what time of day your fans are most active. Focusing your engagements during these times will help you grow your community. Also be sure to pay attention to things like sentence structure, phrasing, and types of posts that are particularly engaging to your audience. Many Facebook users check the site on their lunch breaks and after dinner, and while the latter is outside of normal business hours, it's worth testing to see if that's a time when your audience is looking for content. How do I track my UTM link?
Facebook lookalike audiences exist in the space between layered (behavior, interest, and demographic) targeting and remarketing (utilizing Custom Audiences). Creating lookalikes is the practice of leveraging the information you’d use to create Custom Audiences to instead create audiences that have similar characteristics, but represent a new segment of potential customers. These prospects haven’t yet interacted with your brand. But they’re similar to those who have.
Connections: You can target or exclude people who have an existing connection to your Facebook Page, your app, or an event you managed. For example, if you want to reach a new audience, your would select “Exclude people who like your Page.” If you want to promote an offer or new product to existing fans, select “People who like your Page” to reach people who already know your brand. You can also choose to target friends of people who have previously interacted with your brand. Facebook Conversion Tracking and OnClick Event Tracking
You can’t add this Page to your Business Manager account because it is the primary Page for another business. Designed to act more like a personal profile for businesses, public figures, and organizations, a Facebook page is basically a place to create an authentic representation of what you’re about. It’s very similar to a basic profile in structure and function, but the intent is for the actual page to become the entity rather than the person behind a profile. For instance, your brand is what’s known by its page – e.g. the Coca-Cola brand and its page and promotions and fans, not the CEO of the company and its followers. This is a much better explanation than the one provided by Facebook. My question is this. We decided to go with a page so that we can gets messages. However, I really need the Files tab and can find no way to have one on a page. Will Notes serve the same function? So far, I have been unable to use the paste function on the Notes entry form. Plus, as the admin, I do not know how the page appears to a user and whether or not they see the Notes tab. Can you help?
Simply put, don’t ask people to give you information you won’t be using anyway. For example, if you sell apparel online, you probably don’t need to know the person’s job title or relationship status. Keep your form simple to attract more subscribers, or add extra fields if you’re okay with fewer email subscribers but more qualified leads with higher interest. It's visual. The picture alone is worth a thousand words about how much fun this concert would be. Not only is it on the beach, it was also taken on a gorgeous day and the stage looks amazing. Also, it clearly represents what to expect during the event, and it catches the eye as someone scrolls through their News Feed. (The beautiful ocean water definitely helps.)
Another business might create a retargeting campaign that displays a specific product ad after a user has been to that product’s webpage. For example, let’s say a user is shopping for a new car and searches for Jeep Grand Cherokees for sale in their area on AutoTrader. Later, when they go on Facebook, they see an ad from AutoTrader for a Jeep Grand Cherokee for sale near them that fits their search criteria, rather than one of AutoTrader’s generic ads. I’ve just taken a look at the FB page, and I’m afraid I don’t follow. All the images I see are displaying regularly as squares on one side of the timeline or the other. Without seeing exactly what you mean, two possibilities come to mind: images will display full-width on many mobile browsers because the two sides of the timeline are condensed into one vertical column, or perhaps they’re using a separate FB custom page aside from their timeline. If you know of another example I can take a look at, send it along. How To Create A Facebook Retargeting Pixel - Top Facebook Retargeting Ads Strategy
Business Manager allows you to quickly see all of your pages, ad accounts, the people who have assigned roles and much more. This is especially handy when you need to revoke access to several of your business’s Facebook assets for someone who no longer works for you. Instead of having to go to all of your business assets to remove that person, you simply go to the People section in Business Manager and remove their access to everything in one click.
The Facebook pixel is a small snippet of code that you, your website engineer or a Facebook Marketing Partner can paste in your code. It tracks the people and the types of actions they take when they engage with your brand, including any of your Facebook ads they saw before going to your website, the pages of your site they visit and the items they add to their carts.
The cost-per-view pricing model is designed for video ads and charges advertisers every time their video ad is watched by a Facebook user. It is a good option for advertisers with a powerful message best presented in a video. Keep in mind that a video only has to run for three seconds for Facebook to consider it a view; this may not be enough time to convey your message. If you need more time, consider a different pricing structure to help you achieve your ad goals.
Facebook ads have come a long way in a few short years. The days of a brand posting a blurry photo from an event with a caption “Like Us Now!” are (thankfully) coming to an end. Through numerous algorithm changes, Facebook has made it clear to marketers that it wants – and its users expect – a compelling, visually appealing reason to engage with a brand’s ad. Lots of folks are having the same problem B. It is a behaviour change when posting a url to a blog post on fb. The past behaviour was one where there was a choice of pics from the blog post to choose from, now we can’t get anything but our profile pics to post as default even when pictures are the correct size. No one seems to be owning the resolution to this, see this discussion. How to Send a Private Message on Facebook
LinkedIn, a professional business-related networking site, allows companies to create professional profiles for themselves as well as their business to network and meet others. Through the use of widgets, members can promote their various social networking activities, such as Twitter stream or blog entries of their product pages, onto their LinkedIn profile page. Members can use "Company Pages" similar to Facebook pages to create an area that will allow business owners to promote their products or services and be able to interact with their customers. Due to spread of spam mail sent to job seeker, leading companies prefer to use LinkedIn for employee's recruitment instead using different a job portal. Additionally, companies have voiced a preference for the amount of information that can be gleaned from a LinkedIn profile, versus a limited email.
If your business has an offer or event going on at your store, set up a few Facebook Reach ads that appear only to people within a short distance of your store. Have these ads appear a few days prior to the event and on mobile devices while the event is happening. You may want to reach some people the day of the event who happen to be in the area and checking their Facebook account on their smartphones.

Success in the new realm of Facebook advertising (remember: it is now a hybrid engagement plus performance-based direct-response ad platform) means that marketers need to put more research and focus into the images they use in Facebook ads because the ad size is so large (especially in the News Feed). The relatively short lifespan of a Facebook ad means that brands must have a vast quantity of unique, constantly refreshed images at the ready to keep their ads and content near the top of users’ News Feeds. This is especially true for direct-response advertisers, who must rely on engaging, creative ads to entice a consumer into making a purchasing decision.

I moderate a group with around 1,300 people, and it is VERY time-intensive. My biggest problem is identifying new replies. For example, if a post gets bumped to the top that has 50 comments, I have to go on an Easter egg hunt and open up *every single comment* to identify the one or more comments with new replies. Sometimes I see a blue line on new replies, and sometimes I see a time stamp on the last reply. However, this is inconsistent. Is there a more efficient way to make sure I’m not missing any new replies? Sat Kaival Saheb Annakut 2019

It is suggested that you write the content of UTM parameters in lowercase. This is already done in my Excel file, but it also depends on what you use in your Analytics dashboard beforehand. If in the Acquisition > Overview tab your main channels (social, organic search, direct, etc) are lowercase, use lowercase letters. On the other hand, if it is written “Social” with the S in uppercase, use Social with an uppercase S in your UTM parameters.
Let’s say you spend $100 on Facebook advertising for your online course, and ten people join your email newsletter. In the first month, one person buys an item for $25. In the second month, two people buy items totaling $50. In the third month, five people buy items totaling $125. In three months, you’ve generated $200 from the people who joined your email newsletter. Since you spent $100 on ads, you have generated a 200% ROAS.
The goal of the group is to allow reporters to connect with the newspaper’s most dedicated readers, sharing information about how they do their work, where story ideas come from, and how the job of political reporting gets done. While the group has fewer than 4,000 members (compared to the more than six million followers of The Washington Post’s Facebook Page), it is very active, with multiple posts per day.
This is so helpful! I help run the facebook for my workplace work, so while my personal business page is pretty easy to run and I don’t really care what it looks like, the business one posts a lot more varied stuff and sometimes I get frustrated with the way facebook arbitrarily decides how to resize, preview and display the photos or thumbnails I am trying to use. Credibility: A huge part of your brand is built on trust, and the foundation of that trust is your credibility. Grammar and spelling are universally important, and all efforts for their correct uses should be made. Fact-check sources and news before sharing them on your networks. Ensure the safety of your users by not sharing links to malicious sites. Essentially, make sure you don't give your community a reason to believe you are anything other than what you are: awesome.
